Job opportunity: Greater Manchester Partnership Manager

The Centre for Ageing Better has a unique opportunity for a collaborative and innovative individual to join the team in Greater Manchester as the new GM Partnership Manager. If you are passionate about improving later life and have the skills to lead on and develop effective partnerships and collaborations, this role might be for you.

   

The Centre for Ageing Better is an independent charitable foundation. They believe that more people living longer represents a huge opportunity for society and we want everyone to enjoy a good later life. But changes are needed so more people are in good health, are financially secure, are socially connected, and have a purpose in later life.

 

About the role

 

As Greater Manchester Partnerships Manager you will be the focal point for Ageing Better’s strategic partnership in Greater Manchester. You will act as key liaison between Ageing Better and Greater Manchester combined authority, provide project management across partnership activities and build new relationships and engage stakeholders. You will work to ensure the partnerships is informed by evidence and insight whilst ensuring that our work is shaped by the voices and perspectives of people in later life.

 

The successful candidate will have experience of developing effective partnerships across a range of organisations and initiating and managing new projects. You will be well practised in promoting change at a local level and have the ability to think strategically and spot and assess new opportunities for collaboration and impact. An understanding of local government and public/voluntary sector contexts and policy environments is essential.

 

The closing date for this is 8th July 2019 at 9:00am, with interviews to take place on 15th July 2019 in Greater Manchester.

 

Salary from £42,902
